Do not rub or disturb your eyes after surgery. For one week after your surgery, wear your eye shield when sleeping, including naps. Swimming is not allowed for one month. Do not bend or squat, nor lift anything heavier than 10 pounds for a week after surgery. Try to limit sneezing and coughing for one week. Showering is permitted, but keep your eyes closed and try not to let any water into your eyes.

You will receive three different post operative eye drops and an associated handout. Check the handout for every time that you put in your eye drops so that you know when to stop your treatment. The care instructions for the eye drops are as follows:

Eye Drop #1: You will receive either Moxifloxacin or Besivance.

Moxifloxacin: One drop, three times a day                               Besivance: One drop, twice a day

Eye Drop #2: You will receive either Prolensa or Ketorolac. These drops will be used for a month.

Prolensa: One drop, once a day                                              Ketorolac: One drop three. times a day
